The new collection, which arrives in the retailer’s 1,800 stores in around 40 countries across the globe and online, was unveiled at H&M on Regent Street at a pop-up gentleman’s club, installed just for the occasion. The winner of the H&M Design Award 2012 has been announced as Stine Riis, a 28-year-old graduate from the London College of Fashion. She was revealed as the global winner at a special catwalk show at Stockholm’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, where Ms Riis presented her winning collection. A COUPLE are set to follow in the footsteps of their friends who are working to address human trafficking in India.
Carl and Debi Potgieter, from Crawley Down, will embark on an eye-opening trip on Tuesday.
They will work with Freedom Firm, a charity dedicated to the liberation and rehabilitation of children enslaved in commercial sexual exploitation. The couple will visit rescued girls who are now in aftercare in Ooty, India.
Debi, a teacher at Seymour Primary School in Crawley, said: “We have had quite a lot of support in East Grinstead and now we want to make a difference in the world.”
In April last year, Rodney and Diana Green, from East Grinstead, sold their possessions in order to start a new life dedicated to the charity.
It is believed there are currently about 300,000 children enslaved in prostitution in India.
