FILM: Scouting Book for Boys Thomas Turgoose, who made his name as the young star of This Is England, proves his star credentials in this imaginative, whimsical story about the dramas and trials of teenage life.
THEATRE: London Assurance Simon Russell Beale is at his comic finest as the Victorian fop Sir Harcourt Courtley in the National Theatre’s rich adaptation of Dion Boucicault’s 19th century satire.
ART: Richard Hamilton Now in his late 80s, British artist Hamilton was making Pop Art while Andy Warhol was still a graphic illustrator. Tate Modern’s retrospective shows the cutting political insight of one of the country’s most influential artists.
THEATRE: Mrs Warren’s Profession Felicity Kendall stars as Mrs Warren, the Victorian madam who has turned prostitution into a thriving international business, in George Bernard Shaw’s once-banned play.
