As author Kate Hill points out in the introduction to this book of beautiful photos of Spain, Spanish style is nothing if not diverse. A glossy coffee-table book, it is filled with enticing pictures of Spanish properties that capture the essence of the country. Among the featured buildings are an eclectic selection of hotels, private houses, galleries and restaurants, but of particular note are a historic hacienda, now converted into a hotel, a 17th- century finca, a futuristic titanium and steel winery and a tiny cabana belonging to the artist Moisés Tibau, which has neither plumbing nor electricity. It’s an indulgent and lovely book, and one that also makes you want to book a flight to Madrid as soon as possible.

“In the heart of one of Seville’s residential quarters, the Alfalfa, actor Miguel Caiceo has returned to his Seville roots to live in a colourful, art-filled apartment just off the bustling Plaza Alfalfa. In the peaceful, blossom-scented courtyard, once used to stable carriage horses, birds now sing and light filters through orange-trees planted in a sunken garden and sheltering the apartment from the street.”
